Causeway’s specific focus is toward the organization with a well-defined, unique mission (within either a local or larger community) that requires qualified help to solve a specific resource shortage. The goal is to give the help you need, in the specific area needed, for your business to function efficiently in its daily operations. A well functioning business means its mission is being accomplished in the most sustainable way.   Business Approach Because most organizations seek outside help only when there is an immediate task to be accomplished, e.g. finding funds for a project, writing a grant, planning or running an event, and so forth — the Causeway approach is to help your business solve its most urgent need. I will meet with you at your organization to discuss the job(s) that you need done. If you decide to use the services of Causeway, the terms of the job will be summarized in a work statement, sent to you, and the work will begin on the agreed upon timetable.   Over the long term, businesses that fare best, making the most of their resources, are those that set aside time (at least annually) to evaluate how well they are meeting objectives. Causeway promotes the business philosophy of organizational model building, reviewing the mission of your business, listing goals and objectives, strategizing based on your organization’s strengths and weaknesses; then putting a plan together for the future, in writing, that becomes your daily operations guide. Causeway can help you with any part of this process.   Additionally, a tool for keeping your business on track is Program Evaluation. A business plan is only useful if it proves successful over time. Evaluation of your programs does not have to be complex. In fact, the simpler the process the more likely it will be maintained by those who work within your organization. Simple check lists designed to measure or keep tabs on those activities that seem to work for your business, and those that seem not to, are easy to do and continously supply a wealth of information back to you. In the case that this is considered necessary, CauseWay will give you, upon your request, a complete resume of the person or persons chosen to assist with the project.
